Ron Paul - bringing out the crowds

Here's a crowd of people appealing to Ron Paul.

The problem is these people want saving from Ron Paul. Or more accurately from his wish to enrich himself at the expense of these peoples' environment.

Ron Paul has significant investments (a cool $1m) in precious metal mining corporations. The people in the photo above are protesting against Ron Paul and co getting fat at their expense - the protest is against Vista Gold, a company Ron Paul has invested in.

The protest website VISTAGOLD NO! is here

Ron Paul says "YES!".....to "toxic mining"....in somebody else's country. Oh, good.

The residents say no:
Toxic Open Pit gold Mining

(we welcome mining that does not use toxic substances or explosives)

I wish to express my total support for a sustainability in Baja California Sur. We are in time to detain and prohibit Toxic Open Pit Gold Mining as well as activities that pose a serious risk to the environment such as the use of cyanide.

I oppose Toxic Open Pit Gold Mining because I believe that the approximately 200 created by these projects does not justify the destruction to the unique ecosystems in our state and nation, that they do not justify the risk to our economy, our health, our environment and to the Sierra de la Laguna Biosphere Reserve.
From elsewhere:
Vista Gold of Colorado, representing two Canadian mining firms, has applied for exception to the Sierra Laguna Biosphere protection to operate an open pit gold mine.

Agua Vale mas que Oro! (Water is worth more than Gold!) was chanted repeatedly at the protest rally

Ah who cares, Ronnie wants his cash! Damn eco-nazis, eh?

Gold mining is a filthy, energy-intensive business. But Mexico is right up for it, apparently:
So says Jeffrey Christian, Managing Director of the New York-based CPM Group, a leading commodities research, consulting, asset management and investment banking organization.

“Mexico represents one of the most attractive places in the world for mining, not only in terms of geology but also for its political, economic and regulatory environment. There is also a pro-mining mentality in Mexico. The country is very much open for business,” Christian says. “Also many good quality deposits have gone relatively unexploited over the centuries.”

Conversely, an increasing number of other emerging gold-producing nations are beginning to raise barriers to the building of mines by foreign mining companies.

North American mining companies are not having much better luck on their own soil, he says. “Even in the United States and Canada the barriers to obtaining mine production permits have become greater and greater,” Christian says. For instance, “anti-mining groups” can use the legal system to win a succession of court injunctions, which may delay the commissioning of a mine for years on end, he explains.

Hence, an increasing number of frustrated mining companies are turning their attention to Mexico

Awwww - all that regulation and people power aka local democracy is getting in the way of Ron Paul's juicy investments?

So why go to Mexico? Because of "its political, economic and regulatory environment" - ie the relative absence of those things.

Too many of Ron Paul's supporters fail to understand how this works, and how Ron Paul is playing his part in things they likely imagine themselves to be against. Like the pillaging of nations resources, the extension of global capitalism, etc.

The aricle adds that
Perhaps the best example of how this strategy is paying off in a big way involves the world’s fifth largest gold producer, Vancouver-based Goldcorp Inc. (GG), which just initiated production at its world-class gold/silver Penasquito mine in Zacatecas State in October.
GoldCorp Inc. Ron Paul has investments there too - a sizeable chunk.

Ron Paul also has investments in Newmont, which features in a NYT special here.

"The biggest problem was the people around the mines whom became increasingly angry because they felt their water was being polluted by the cyanide used in the processes."

But nevermind, Ronnie Paul is playing on Wall Street. It's all good.

Here's Ron Paul's substantial investments in mining, revealed during his presidential run in 08:

No doubt we can find similar complaints about environmental destruction and poison mining from all these "faceless unaccountable mega-corporations" as Ron Paul's fans might call them.

Oh, and maybe the "NAFTA super-highway" will be carrying Ronnie Paul's gold back to America?

RonPaul-lover Alex Jones has this at one of his myriad sites:
President-elect Barack Obama recently met with Mexican President Felipe Calderon where he expressed a continued commitment to upgrade NAFTA. Many believe that this proves he will carry through on promises to renegotiate the agreement. It is interesting that the word upgrade was used as opposed to renegotiate. Calderon has publicly stated on many occasions that he is against changes to NAFTA, but more recently he said that he is open to reviewing environmental and labour provisions.

Obviously not to make them more restrictive. All the better for mining! Who needs local people grumbling around the courts holding everything up?

Tut tut Ronnie, fancy getting messed-up with all that? The article even implicates RP as part of the NWO?
A recent report released by the Pentagon warns that globalization and urbanization will further fuel social unrest in Mexico. Political, economic and social instability could be used to usher in a North American Union. We have a short window of opportunity to really turn things around and only an informed educated public will be able to defeat the New World Order.
Somehow multinational mining corporations are excluded from the NWO's machinations? Right, Alex? lol.

I was looking for some other Alex-isms on globalism, and I found two things. 1, Jones writes fewer articles than ever before, and 2, the following recent article which completely contradicts Jones' usual spiel.....
Wayne Madsen
The Intrepid Report
June 17, 2011

What lies in store for Greece, Portugal, Spain, Ireland, Italy, and, in short order, the United States, is the wholesale sell-off of public property to private corporations at bargain basement prices. What the despots who gather in their secretive lairs at Davos, Cernobbio, Bilderberg, and G8/G20 are bringing about is a world where no property is owned by the state, which by default means the people. Total corporate control over every facet of life equals extreme fascism.
SOURCE
Errrr - but that's just what Ron Paul wants......Didn't Alex notice that little detail? Gee. What a joke. They can say anything they like.....hardcore free-marketeers one day, anti-capitalist the next. And nobody seems to notice.....

And BTW, that is most certainly not a definition of fascism, Mr Madsen. Quit using the word 'fascism' like that? It doesn't mean that at all.

Additionally, Ron Paul was supported by Peter Thiel, Paypal founder and - gosh! - Bildeberger!!!! Dah dah da!!!!

Bildebergers on Ron Paul's election committee? Oh dear, Alex.....oh dear.

And worse, Thiel's a banker of sorts too. Of electronic money!!!! That's Satan's cash, isn't it, Alex? I thought the cashless society was a sign of THE END (in capitals!)

Here's Prisonplanet about Cashless society: BBC Shills for Cashless Society

And here's Alex giving an Economics 101 - lol - on the cashless society.....

"It's neo-feudalism"...."it's the global control grid".

What a pretentious twat. Economics analyst? What a chump.

Why do none of Jones' hive-mind fans question any of this? Why don't they see any of the contradictions? Over to Larry.......

And Ronnie boy "co-authored a book in 1993 with someone who was to become a member of the Project For A New American Century, Lewis Lehrman, (PNAC)" Oh my......haha.

Here's another of Ron Paul's election committee which Alex wouldn't like (if it were anyone but Ron Paul, obviously):
William E. Dannemeyer: A California ballot initiative he backed, Proposition 102, would have mandated widespread testing, tracing of sexual partners by state authorities, and a mandatory quarantine of persons with AIDS.
Ah, gotta love freeedom.....

Lordy knows what AJ would make if anyone else's election committee had such alumni. Mandatory quarantine? In FEMA camps, eh? lol.
In 1985, Dannemeyer voiced his concern with AIDS, "[People with AIDS] emit spores that have been known to cause birth defects."
Yes of course, everyone knows that. He's just the sort of smart guy we need in politics - get him on our election committee. haha.

More from Danny:
As former congressman William E. Dannemeyer told the nodding listeners, there is no such thing as separation of church and state in America. That is a perversion of the Constitution committed by atheist national leaders and a misguided U.S. Supreme Court, he said.

What a guy!

Back to the bigger picture.

Found this, at Prisonplanet:
The American Dream
June 18, 2011
In 2011, America is for sale and the communist Chinese are eager buyers. The Chinese government is using sovereign wealth funds and Chinese state-owned enterprises to buy up economic assets and huge tracts of land all over the United States. Many of our politicians hail all of this “foreign investment” as something that is “good for America”, while many others see something much more sinister going on here. In any event, this is a trend that is rapidly accelerating and that is causing great concern among patriotic Americans.
SOURCE
What about the Mexicans!? Suddenly all this is a matter of concern when it's Chinese capital buying American assets. Hardly a surprise to find such concern, is it? But what about those mexicans and their gold? What about Peru Ghana and everywhere else? RP is buying their gold - already has. But that's just fine, apparently. RP's private actions as a capitalist operating through Wall Street investing in multinational corporations is nothing to do with anything, apparently. That's how we spot the bad guys. Sure.

The article adds ".....when we allow foreigners to buy up our own precious oil and gas assets shouldn’t that set off “national security” red flags?"

In Mexico?

Oh brother. I'm sure this "story" made your ONE reader happy. I tell ya, if not for your copy and pasting of other people's quotes, you'd have about 6 words posted.

You're a terrible writer. What's your point anyway? No one knows[or cares]. LOL
