It's Massachusetts. Though I'll let you in on something. We have two cities with exact spelling, but they are pronounce much differently. Dorchester and Worchester. The first sounds like it's splelled. The second is pronounced Wooster. I'll listen to these tunes and let you know what I think.

I liked the first one. The second was ok. The third was kind of slow for me at first, but then it was good. I just don't have the money to buy these things. The quality is never good on the net to give it a fair shake. Here, I'll find a tune. Some songs I could listen to over and over again forever.

Worcester and Dorchester are olde English town/county names. There's also Gloucester - pronounced "Gloster".
They're all old Roman towns (forts?), I think.
There's lots of great place names here.
Most famous Welsh one probably being "Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch" - yep - all one name.

And yes, it is 'splelled' correctly. :D
In English it apparently means - "St Mary's church in the hollow of the white hazel near to the rapid whirlpool and the church of St Tysilio of the red cave"
Massachusetts is New England? The place to go see trees in the Autumn/Fall? Never been there - travelling Montreal to New York is the closest I got, I guess. Nice place to be, right?

I wonder what the oldest building around there is? Here, it's the oldest town in Wales.....there's remnants of Romans from 2000 years ago.....there's even an amphitheatre. Somehow I feel the absence of that in N America. Weird. On the upside though, N America feels all shiny and new - and empty - by comparison. But somehow disconnected - from the past, I guess. Here the past is all around - that and the high population density can make for a sometimes oppressive air. But America is wide open spaces.....and the future is more visible than the past. It's a powerful feeling to me....though I find the disconnected-ness very unsettling. I feel a real absence of something there - which seems both good and bad. Odd.

It can have uchaf on the end too - meaning upper Llanfair pg. Lower would be "isaf" on the end, I think.

Yeah, I forgot about Gloucester. That's up in Northern Massachusetts. It's famous for making fish sticks or something.
I was never big on Pearl Jam but now admit they were decent. Smashing Pumpkins, I'd place them up near the top.
Of course Boston is part of New England. New York is close, about a four to five hour drive. We're not getting as good foliage as we used to. Something's up with climate change. We have some old stuff, but it's relative to your old stuff. Unless you want to count our archaeologists finding wooly mammoths. I hear you on the lack of aestethics in a lot of America. We're not called a cultural wasteland for nothing.
I took a quick look at BradBlog and wasn't surprised. It was exactly as I thought it would be. Brad was talking a lot about wingnuts and their reaction to the mayhem caused at Fort Hood. He predictably used that tragedy to pimp his new anti-domestic terrorism website he has put up with former domestic terrorist Brett Kimberlin. The irony. But anyone who posts about Brett will be labelled as being you or me or both, as they like to say we are the same person.
Brad also is utilising his new right wing blogger named Frank Schaeffer. He is tied in with this new Kimberlin-Friedman scam for donations. He is another Republican being given the floor by Brett Kimberlin Productions. Ernest Canning used to or still is a corporate attorney for Hilton Hotels. The Sibel Edmonds crap has been publicised by right wing rags and Brad. Brad also liked to point out how he his work on the Michael Connell hoax won an award for one of the best censored stories of the year. I guess he snookered that uncensored stories project or that is a scam in itself. I don't know. I do know that there was nothing mysterious about Michael Connell's death. The fake conspiracy nuts love to talk up small plane crashes. Maybe there was something to it with Wellstone, but I totally hate Brad Friedman and Brett Kimberlin and it's obvious they are running some kind of scam. Also on BradBlog was yet another begging for donations. Those guys are scam artists. I didn't see any of Agent99 and Big Dan. Though the BradBlog makes me feel queasy, so I don't go there for too long.
